Mysterious Jorja Fox won't quash rumors

The secret love life of Jorja Fox is an even bigger mystery than those she helps slove on CSI.

Does she had a boyfriend? A girlfriend? Why won't she say?

For years, never-married Jorja, 37, has been engulfed by speculation that she's gay, and she has never set the record straight one way or another.

The actress, who plays forensic investigator Sara Sidle on the hit TV crime drama, once was quoted saying: "I personally make it a rule in this beautiful world only to bed two people -- my lover and my dog."

She refused to name her loover or her lover's gender. But she did name her dog. It's a boxer called Ali.

'Can't talk about it'

And she gave this mysterious answer when an interviewer asked if she was married or single: "Involved, but not married. I'm not allowed to talk about it at all. I've been sworn to secrecy -- the whole theory that it's more special. I'm very happy and living under a shroud until further notice."

Whatever Jorja's sexual prefernce, the gay press claims she attracts legions of lesbian fans. And her followers seem to be clammoring to find out the truth.

Internet forums are ablaze with takes of spotting Jorja in lesbian hot spots, including this annonymous entry: "My lesbo posse and I went out for a night on the Tinseltown and wound up on the dance floor with none other than my favorite lesbian doctor, Jorja Fox from ER."

'We don't know.'

Even a popular Jorja Fox fan site on the Internet can't get an answer to the question of whether or not she's gay.

"We don't know," says the site. "And until Jorja herself announces her sexuality, we're going to do her the courtesy of not speculating."
